HKN Alumni/ae Outreach ProgramEta Kappa Nu (HKN), the EECS honor society, has been very successful over the years in providing the course VI undergraduate community with answers, resources and support about academics, research, social life. The strength of HKN comes from the community of professors, upperclassmen, tutors, peers. We hope to enlarge this community, to include course VI alumni. To this end, we have started a new program within HKN: The Alumni OutReach Program. Its goals are twofold: Each year we will choose a topic that is of current interest and make it the theme of the Alumni Outreach Program. We will try and assemble references and data that can be used as resources for this topic. A survey to alumni will gather stories, experiences, and advice. The results of the survey will then be published on the HKN alumni web site. Discussions that bring together alumni and current students could be organized if interest arises. This year, we are focusing on the career experiences of EECS alumni. The goal is to find what led MIT students to the careers they are pursuing, the choices they made along the way, and the reasons that motivated them. This survey should be mostly useful to seniors choosing a career path. We have constructed: The survey and the results can be found in the HKN Alumni Outreach website at: http://hkn.mit.edu/alumni/ View the survey results of the classes of 95, 96, and 97View survey results of the class of 98Class of 95, 96 and 97: Please complete the surveyMIT students: Career statistics for the class of 98HKN Alumni Mentor ProgramCurrent & Past CommitteesYan Li - yanli@mit.edu .
